Hello there! Alice with you today to share another way to use Deco Foil™ – add it to your coloring book pages! Have you jumped on the new coloring book craze? Santa brought me a few this Christmas and I think I love coloring now just as much as, if not more than, I did as a kid. Back then I thought nothing could be better than a new box of 64 crayons. Now there are so many ways to add color to your pages – including Deco Foil™, thanks to the brand new adhesive pen released at CHA a few weeks ago.
The coloring books I received have gold foil highlights on the covers which gave me the idea of adding Deco Foil™ to the pages. It could not be easier. Simply trace over any section with the adhesive pen, wait a few seconds for the adhesive to set, and press on the foil color side up. If you are removing the page from the book and are able to run it through a die cutting machine, the pressure from the machine makes the foil transfer even easier.
The book above came with a removable cover and I decided to cut that up to use on cards. I love the way it looks with foil highlights. This is one of the new colors released at CHA – Spring Green.
In addition to the coloring book pages, a few leaves were stamped, die cut, and foiled using the new DecoFoil™ Pen adhesive. Use 3D Foam Squares to give extra dimension. The 3D Foam Squares come in two different sizes in the same package which makes it easy to add foam to any shape.
3D Foam Squares are also used to attach the die cut panel to the card base.
By using a coloring book page as the background it is simple to change the color scheme to anything you like – and with endless colors of Deco Foil™ – the sky is the limit to what you can create.
