This year, I wanted my Christmas gifts to feel extra cheerful, so I created a rainbow of festive gift tags! Using Gina K. Designs for Therm O Web Foil-Mates Toner Card Fronts and Gina K. Designs for Therm O Web Fancy Foils, I gave each tag a beautifully foiled shine that instantly adds holiday magic.
How I Used the Toner Sheets
The process is quick and simple:
- Choose a Deco Foil Toner Sheet or Card Front with your favorite pattern and some Gina K. Designs Fancy Transfer Foils.
- Place a piece of Fancy Foil on top of the toner design (shiny side up).
- Place the stack inside a folded Deco Foil Craft & Carrier Sheet.
- Using the crease as the lead edge, run the stack through the Fuse Foiling System Laminator or just a normal hot laminator.
- Peel back the foil to reveal a perfectly foiled design!
It’s such an easy way to add sparkle and create eye-catching backgrounds for your tags.
Adding Dimension and Embellishments
To attach all the decorative elements — the cute characters, mittens, mugs, presents, and even the sequins — I used a mix of:
- ZOTS Clear Adhesive Dots for strong, instant, no-mess adhesion, perfect for sequins or other bling items
- iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Glue for precise placement that allows a bit of repositioning time
- iCraft 3D Foam Tape and Foam Squares to add dimension and give each tag a layered, playful look
- Gina K. Designs Permanent Adhesive Dot Runner for putting together the cardstock tag and toner tag
The foiled backgrounds combined with the dimensional elements make the tags feel fun, festive, and full of texture.
Each tag has its own personality, but together they create a vibrant rainbow that makes every gift feel special and handmade with love.
