Hey there Therm O Web fans! It’s Katrina sharing a layout today for our swap with Paper House. There is a little tradition during Christmas on Facebook with Cardigan Corgi owners and doing a gift exchange called Cardi Claus. This was our first year to participate, so I thought I would document it with the Christmas collection that I got from Paper House and some red and gold Deco Foil!

Cardi Claus Layout Instructions
To be honest, this layout ended up nothing as I had planned, but I am ok with that! I had started by wanting to use some of the Holiday Deco Foil Transfer Sheets that can be found HERE, since it is a holiday layout. But then I started thinking about candy canes and how fun some red foil would be with some stripes and the layout went from there!
Warm laminator at least 20 minutes before foiling toner sheet.
While laminator is warming, trim your two different toner sheets to the size you have determined. Also, trim a piece of white cardstock the same size to back your toner sheets against. Note: I used the full length of the toner sheet here and then just cut off about 2 inches on the side to save for use later. I also used a “scrap” piece of cardstock that had some paint and ink on the other side. Save a tree! LOL
Using the Deco Foil in Red, foil the Pinstripes toner sheet. Using Deco Foil in Gold foil the Polka Dot sheet.
Once they are both foiled, then lay the Pinstripes on top of the Polka Dots to determine where you want the stripes to sit in correlation with the dots. This may take a little playing around and trimming a little. Once you have that determined. then use your Memory Runner XL to adhere the Pinstripe sheet to the Polka Dot sheet. Place the adhesive on the stripes that were foiled to hide it. If you do get a little on the clear sheet, it doesn’t really show.
Now it’s time to layer the back with your white cardstock and trim them all evenly. Apply the Memory Runner XL adhesive in the same areas to hide the adhesive (stripes) and then adhere the toner sheets to your white cardstock. You can see how this would look like a candy cane! A fancy one with gold polka dots!
Two different washi tapes were included, so I used the white with gold “Merry Christmas” skinny tape to layer on the clear areas in between the stripes. I love how this looks!
Start putting your layout together using embellishments that come in the collection. I made some of the embellishments work by trimming them. The pine cone actually had the bough on the other side, but that did not work for placement, so I trimmed the bough off and then adhered it to the other side of the pine cone. Create embellishment clusters by using the different foam adhesives that Therm O Web has. I used the 3D Foam Strips for the pine cone/Santa button and then the Deco Foil Foam Adhesive for the “festive fun” and the “25” banner piece.
With everything going on the top part of my layout needed something, so I decided to add the “Merry Christmas” banner. Add some fun by creating some wavy folds in your banner and only adhering part of it, so that it stands up slightly and looks like it’s waving in the wind.
Add a few more embellishments and some journaling if you like. And now you have one layout completed for the crazy, busy, holiday season!
