Hello and welcome!

It’s Julia from Inflorescence Designs! I’m so joyful you are visiting today. For today’s tutorial, I am going to show you how to use Deco Foil Liquid Adhesive to add shimmer and shine to all your fabric projects.

CREATE with Deco Foil Liquid Adhesive & HeatnBond

Supplies:

Instructions:

Begin by…

Adhere the HeatnBond Lite to the wrong side of your fabric.

Trace your stencil on the paper side of the HeatnBond Lite and cut it out.

Remove the paper backing and adhere it to your article of clothing. Heartbond Lite must be sewn.

For a no sew option, consider HeatnBond Ultra in the red packaging.

Applique your letters to your garment.  I used a blanket stitch with pretty multi-colored thread.

Next…

Apply the Deco Foil Liquid Adhesive and let it dry.  To adhere the foil, simply layer the foil right side facing up over the dried adhesive then apply pressure and peel away.

Optional Step:

My jean jacket has a really big hole on the front.  I want to be able to wear it in my classroom this coming school year (I’m teaching PK-8TH ART and I am SO EXCITED) and I didn’t want to have such a big hole right in the front.

I covered the hole by using HeatnBond Craft Extra Firm Interfacing.  I placed the interfacing on the inside of the jacket and gently pressed it over the hole.

I finish the front of the jacket with an appliqued heart and more rainbow deco foil to match the back.

Finished!

Thank you for visiting today!  Come back soon to see what else will be starting to bloom with Inflorescence Designs!
