There has always been a love for paper in my creative process. The color can brighten my day. The pattern adds a fun element into the mix. No matter how you “slice” it, the outcome will always be unique. Today, we are putting a bit of paper, adhesive and your scissors to work to create a unique shaped card.
To create this card, begin by folding a 12″ x 12″ piece of paper in half. Either hand cut, or draw then cut, your paper into a half of a heart, leaving the fold intact. Trace heart onto another piece of paper to create the pink “frame”. Once you have cut out the “frame”, remove the inside of the heart. Use this piece to create the scallop edge.
Once you have all of your pieces cut out, it is time to assemble.
Use iCraft tape to adhere the pieces of trim to the card. Find the width that works best with your trim, add it to the card, peel and stick! Complete the card by layering the “framed” paper piece, clouds, hearts and sentiment.
