It’s almost Halloween and the excitement is building to a spooky level around my house. I can’t wait…how about you? ThermOWeb’s products make the process of creating those frightfully amazing designs so easy!
Creepy Cauldron
Halloween Mini Quilt, 12″ x 14″
Creepy Bunny stays out all year long at my house to make sure I keep creating fun Halloween decor. He approved the “Creepy Cauldron”!
Halloween mini quilts are just the right thing to keep that magical spirit around the house. They are so easy to make! “Creepy Cauldron” is quick to make using Heat n Bond Lite EZ Print Sheets. Just print the applique designs using your inkjet printer…no tracing!
You can find everything you need to be creative with fabric or paper in ThermOWeb’s online store. These are my favorites:
Heat n Bond Lite Iron-on Adhesive or Heat n Bond Lite EZ Print Sheets
Spray n Bond Basting Adhesive
Stitch n Sew High Loft Fleece
Heat n Bond Light Weight Non-Woven Interfacing
iCraft Liquid Fabric Fuse
Using an Oliso iron makes applying the iron-on adhesive an easy task. The irons come in beautiful colors to match your projects or personality.
Applique Tip: Ironing Heat n Bond Light Weight Non-Woven Interfacing to the wrong side of fabric used in applique blocks can add stability and make stitching small pieces easier.
A great combination of products for assembling small or mini quilts is Spray n Bond Basting Adhesive and Stitch n Sew High Loft Fleece.
Protect the area where you will be working by placing an old sheet or paper under and around the area you’ll be spraying. Place the fleece on work area, smoothing to remove wrinkles. Place the wall hanging front, wrong side down, on top of fleece. Smooth to remove wrinkles.
Roll back a couple inches of the fabric to expose some of the fleece and the wrong side of the quilt front. Using the Spray n Bond Basting Adhesive, lightly spray fleece from one edge to the other. Carefully roll the front over the fleece. Smooth fabric to ensure it adheres to the sprayed fleece and remove any wrinkles. Continue spraying and smoothing a few inches at a time. Check for creases or folds you might have missed. Repeat process with mini quilt back. Let dry and quilt as desired.
