It’s a Sweet Treat Week here on the Therm O Web blog and we have not only some sweet projects to share with you….we also have some NEW Sweet Products to share too! We’re pleased to announce the official release of our NEW iCraft Pixie Tape and NEW iCraft Pixie Dots!

Our NEW Pixie Tape is the sweetest thing…first it’s a pretty translucent pink that sticks perfectly and peels off…well perfectly too! It’s happy to hold your die-cuts in place while you cut, as well as a host of other needs. (we like to use it to keep our projects in alignment on our glass mat while we work)

Our NEW Pixie Dots are here to save the day. They’re not only perfect to help you audition to where you’d like to place this element or that without committing to gluing it down. They’re also ideal for adding a gift card to your handmade card as they’re removable! Use them for your scrapbook pages too…place your elements all around your page as you decide where to add them! All this week we’ll be sharing sweet treats and that means treats for you too! Join us today as Justin kicks off the fun and be sure if you’re not following us on Instagram to do so for more chances to win!

Bean Sweet Cards

Hello everyone! Justin here, and today I am sharing a very sweet card that is all things candy and all things neon! I used some Rina K Designs Electro-Pop products to bring this jellybean card to life, so let’s get to the details!

First, I started by grabbing an A2-sized piece of blending cardstock, Orange Glow Electro-Pop Ink, some of the brand new Pixie Tape, and the 1st stencil from the Right Angle Layering Stencil by Taylored Expressions (this is a 3-part layering stencil, so we’ll call them Stencil 1, 2 and 3). I used the Pixie Tape to tack Stencil 1 to my cardstock and blended a solid layer of Orange Glow Electro-Pop Ink.

Next, I took Stencil 2 and adhered it into place using the Pixie Tape. Using my Stencil Pal, I spread a solid layer of Transfer Gel Blanco over my stencil. I removed the stencil and cleaned it immediately. I let this portion dry entirely before moving to my next step.

After my Transfer Gel Blanco dried entirely, I took a sheet of Poppin’ Pink Electro-Pop Neon Flock and used my laminator for a heat transfer method.

I removed my flock transfer sheet from my panel to reveal my flocked background. I then took Stencil 3, put it into place, tacked it down with Pixie Tape, and then used my Stencil Pal to spread a solid layer of Hello Yellow Electro-Pop Neon Glitz. I removed my stencil, set my panel aside to dry entirely, and immediately washed off my stencil.

I then took out a sheet of Hello Yellow Electro-Pop Neon Flock and distressed the bottom edge with Orange Glow Electro Pop Neon Ink. I then took the Oliver’s Stitched ABC’s by Lawn Fawn and die cut the word “SWEET” out.

I also die cut the same letters twice from white cardstock as well. I stacked and adhered the letters using Ultrabond Liquid Adhesive to get some good depth from them. I adhered the letters to a piece of vellum, let it dry, and then fussy cut out the cluster of words so I had a nice vellum border.

I took some more vellum and used my Pixie Tape to tack down the Outside Ink Stitched Sun die by Lawn Fawn and ran it through my die cutting machine. The Pixie Tape is absolutely fantastic for a low-tack method of die-cutting your images, and leaves absolutely no residue behind when doing so! I adhered to this vellum sun behind my jellybean jar that you’ll see in the next image.

Next, it was time to begin putting my images into place. I grabbed my Pixie Dots and it allowed me to play around with my little mice to see where they fit the best. Once I figured out where the mice needed to be placed, I adhered my jellybean and vellum sun unit directly to my panel. I also adhered some clusters of jellybeans as well.

Using my White iCraft 3D 1/16″ Foam Tape, I adhered my sentiment & vellum unit, and my 3 mice to my card. My card was completed!

Here are a few more images of my final project to share with you!
