Hi, there! It’s Lynnea Hollendonner and I hope to inspire you today with two kite themed cards made with a rainbow of colors of the new Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets from ThermOWeb! I have a process video showing just how easy it is to use this product, so make sure you scroll to the bottom to watch!
Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets
I made two cards – both using the new Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets along with a bit of stamping and alcohol marker coloring! I love that you can use the Flock Transfer Sheets with Deco Foil Transfer Gel or with tape runner adhesive!
Let’s Go Fly A Kite Deco Foil Flock Cards
Here’s my first card! I used the stencil from the Gina K Designs StampnStencil Crazy Daisy collection because I think the flourish is gorgeous! I sprayed the back of my stencil with the new Pixie Spray and pressed the stencil on top of some white cardstock and applied some Deco Foil Transfer Gel over the top with a palette knife. I let this dry for a couple of hours until the gel turned from white to completely clear.
I wanted to use all of the colors of the new Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets (except the white and black), so I used my paper trimmer to cut off thin strips of varying widths of all 6 of the yummy colors. As a side note – make sure to put your flock in your paper trimmer pretty side down so that you don’t shred the flock! Once I had my strips cut I laid them across my stenciled panel and used a bit of the 1/2 inch Purple Tape to help hold them in place so that they didn’t move.
I ran the paper and strips through my laminator twice – however, I used the 3ml setting and I think I would have gotten better results on the 5ml setting – but I’m still super excited about my results! The flock is lighter on my card than it is on the sheets, but I quite like how the lighter colors lend themselves to spring! I used my colored images on top of my flocked design and adhered them with iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive as well as some of the white Gina K Designs foam squares.
I had cut more strips of the Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets than I needed for my first card, so I decided to use them in a different way to make a second card! This time I simply flipped over the strips of the Deco Foil Flock and added some Gina K Adhesive Dot Runner to the back and stuck them down diagonally on my card! I added a kite with iCraft Ultra Bond liquid adhesive and the speech bubble with a white Gina K foam square! It was so easy! And I love the dimension and texture from the Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets! I hope you enjoy my video!
