Hello Card Instructions

First, warm laminator on 5 mil setting for 20-30 minutes so that it is fully heated.  Then while laminator is heating, create card base by cutting an 8.5 x 11-inch piece of Gina K cardstock in half to create a side folding 4.25 x 5-inch card.

Also, begin stamping your images for the card front.  A stamp positioning tool will help you with the layered stamping.  Note: I used a Misti, but I know there are others out there.  Once, you have the ladybug wings stamped, then you can position the body to make sure it’s stamped in the correct position.

After images are stamped, die cut with the matching die set or you can fussy cut them out by hand if you do not have the die set. If you want to add additional details to your stamped images, like the white dots on the wings or enamel dots for the flower centers, this is a good time to do it.

In order to create the foiled background, cut a sheet of Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates slightly smaller than your card front.

NOTE: I went down 1/4 of an inch all the way around. In addition, cut a piece of the Gina K. Designs Fancy Foil slightly larger than your background.  Using a folded piece of parchment paper, create a sandwich of the parchment paper with the Foil-Mates and Fancy Foil inside, so that you can run it thru the laminator. Remove the foil transfer sheet from the background and then adhere the background to your card base.

To emphasize your stamped images cut a smaller background out of a neutral cardstock and adhere it with the Gina K. Designs Foam Tape on top of the Foil-Mate Background, which will make your images stand out.  In addition, you can stamp your sentiment on this background. Finally, arrange your die cuts on your card front and then send to someone to say “hello”!

A card like this should make spring come sooner, right?!  Thanks for stopping by the blog today and have a great week!
