As we get ready to gear up for the next Quilt Market Show in Portland, Oregon next month…we wanted to take you on a look back at last year’s show.

Designer Pat Sloan shared with us her new fabric line and projects…enjoy!

The month of May brought me to the International Quilt Market, the spring trade show for the quilt industry. This spring we were in Kansas City Mo.

I was releasing a new line of fabric with Moda called “Eat your Fruits and Veggies”..  a new series of applique patterns with Bigfork Bay Cotton company called “Red Apple Lane”, plus 2 new thread kits from Aurifil. It was a busy time!

Here I am next to my new quilt pattern called “Red Apple Lane”. Which is actually 9 patterns you can put into one quilt, or use as singles.  All appliqued with Heat n Bond Lite, my favorite!

My section of this shared booth is on the left

Here is the full quilt… the first block is the Apple tree.

Then we go around the quilt clock wise with the canning jars

Here I am with the Director of Marketing at Bigfork, my buddy Traci Marvel!

And I was doing the embroidery on the quilt on the drive TO Kansas City… nothing like the last minute touches!

I blog daily about quilting.. come visit me at blog.patsloan.com

Pat, I have never used this product, nor have I seen it before. I do some quilting and simple sewing. It would be fun to find this product and try it. I want to hear more about how you use these products with fabric.
