Happy week of March! It’s Amanda from Jedi Craft Girl!! I am soooooo ready for SPRING!!!!! Warm weather, flowers, sunshine and bunnies!! I am pretty much obsessed with everything rabbit! This cute little garland is the perfect project to add to your spring decor. I love how using Deco Foil in projects like this is fast and fun! Let’s get started!
Supplies:
Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheets in a variety of spring colors – Gold, Pumpkin, Lime, Teal, Pink Melon
Deco Foil™ Hot Melt Adhesive Sheets
1/2 yard burlap
3 yards of lace trim
scraps of fabric
Sizzix Rabbit Die
Cut the burlap into 5″ x 6″ rectangles.
Cut the points by measuring 2″ up the side and aligning with the center of the burlap. Do this on both sides as pictured above.
Die cut the rabbits out of the Deco Foil™ Hot Melt sheets.
With a dry hot iron, fuse the rabbit to the center of the burlap rectangle. Let cool and peel off the backing paper.
Choose some fun Deco Foil colors to work with – aren’t they so pretty!
Position the Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheet over the Deco Foil™ Hot Melt Rabbit.
Cover the Deco Foil with a pressing paper to protect the Foil. Using a dry iron on MEDIUM heat, press the foil so it fuses to the hot melt rabbit, about 15-20 seconds. Let cool completely. Gently peel back the foil sheet and the foil will only be sticking to the Deco Foil Hot Melt rabbit!
Continue this process with all the burlap rectangle pieces. Sew them together using lace trim. Add fabric ties in between each banner section. Now I just need to decorate the rest of my house!
