Before all the leaves fall..we have a quick falling leaves pennant banner for you to make using our HeatnBond® and SpraynBond® products! Enjoy!

You will need:

HeatnBond® Lite Fusible Adhesive

SpraynBond® Basting Adhesive

Burlap, 1/3 yard

Fall colored cotton prints, 1/3 yard backing fabric, 1/8 yard of 2-3 other fabrics

Natural Cotton Batting

Thread:

to match fabric for construction,

12 wt or embroidery floss for handstitched details

Trims:

Pom Pom, 1 ½ yards

Ribbon & Lace, ½ yard each

MORE ribbon (side streamers/ties), 4 yards

Basic Sewing Supplies: Sewing Machine, iron, needle, ruler…


Falling Leaves Banner Instructions:

Make a batting sandwich with fabric on either side using SpraynBond® Basting AdhesiveSpraynBond® Basting Adhesive. Cut pattern pieces as indicated by pattern, use a die cut to save your cutting hand.

Hand stitch the veins into leaves.

Create another batting sandwich using HeatnBond® Lite, burlap on one side and fall backing fabric on the other.

Cut into triangles.  Stitch around edges of pennant flag about 1/2 – inch from the edge.

Sew pompom trim to top edge of pennant pieces with a zigzag stitch. Cut side streamer ribbon in half, fold in half and stitch to the underside of pennant ends.

Cut 4-inch pieces of other ribbons and tie between Pennant flags.

Hand stitch leaves to the pennant.
