To begin, gather your supplies. You will need a die and ribbon of your choice, some iCraft® Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheets and Foam Adhesive sheets.
Die cut your desired image four times from the white double-sided adhesive foam sheets. Steel rule dies work best for this technique, as you need a die strong enough to cut through the foam as well as two layers of release paper.
Cut a piece of Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheet that is slightly larger than your die cut image. Peel off the top layer of release paper from the foam.
Lay the foil down onto the exposed foam, with the colored side up and the silver side down. Gently rub over the entire image using your finger.
Peel off the Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheet to reveal the beautiful metallic finish.
Repeat the process for the remaining foam shapes. I added gold Deco Foil™ to two of the seahorses, and turquoise Deco Foil™ to the second pair, but you can use whatever colors you wish.
Wrap your package and tie it with a ribbon bow. Starting at the top, and working a small section at a time, peel off the backing of one of the foam pieces. Press the adhesive foam against the tail end of one side of the bow.
Peel off the top portion of a second foiled die cut, line it up with the first shape, and press the two pieces together with the ribbon sandwiched between. Once you’ve got the two pieces lined up perfectly, continue to remove the backing paper, pressing the shapes together as you go.
Repeat the process with the second pair of Deco Foiled shapes on the other tail end of the ribbon. And there you have an instant, customized Deco Foil™ gift bow.
