Hi everyone, Shemaine here sharing a Class Activity journal idea. My daughter’s teachers use Shutterfly to share photos of what the kids are doing in school all year long.
I have a special password to log in weekly and download these photos to my own computer. This makes it easy to keep up on adding them to her Class Activity journal. I happened to have a large stash of unused product that I have been trying to use up. I thought this journal from Amy Tangerine would be perfect to embellish and fill with memories.
Supplies:
- Anything you want to make the journal from
- Variety of embellishments and stickers (I used a variety of Amy Tangerine’s products)
- Gold, Pink Melon Deco Foil™
- iCraft® Deco Foil™ Transfer Adhesive
- Therm-O-Web Tape Runner XL
I had fun embellishing the cover with some Stamps and Dies from My Favorite Things. I used this Border it die from My Favorite Things along with a laser printed black sheet of toner and cut the die. Then I applied the gold Deco Foil™ using a laminator.
The result was perfect for my cover.
Here is a couple of the first pages. I used the inside cover to journal and document her first day photo taken by her teacher. Doesn’t she look thrilled? I used Therm-O-Web’s Tape Runner XL to adhere the layers of cardstock I cut to the pages.
I liked the flower design on this page but wanted to make it pop.
So I traced the design with iCraft® Deco Foil™ Transfer Adhesive, let it dry and then burnished the design the Pink Melon Deco Foil™.
I found that using this gift card to burnish the foil onto the Liquid Transfer Adhesive worked really well and I was happy with the result.
I really like how this makes the design on the paper come to life.
Adding Deco Foil™ to this Journal was a great way to enhance my embellishments and add something extra to the pages inside. I encourage you to journal your kids photos weekly. It makes a great memory of the school year for them to reflect on when they are older.
