Altered Fusible Fleece Boat

Hi this is Jenifer here with you today to share my Maya Road project with you.

Maya Road sent this fun house shadowbox.

Rather than use it as intended, I decided to flip the roof of the house upside down and make it into a fun little boat using scraps of fabric and some fun Maya Road trims and flowers.

Supplies:
Therm O Web HeatNBond Ultra Hold
Therm O Web SuperTape™ 1/4″ and 1/8″
Therm O Web 3D Zots™ Clear Adhesive Dots
Therm O Web Fusible Fleece

Maya Road:

Ruffle Blossoms
Vintage paper roses
Heart Pins

Mini Organza rose trim
Crochet Trim

Cutting instructions: Cut out 2 triangles that are the same size and that are in proportion to the length of your dowel and the size of your boat. Cut out 1 triangle piece of Fusible Fleece. Adhere the fleece to the fabric. Sew around all the edges and also attaching your crochet trim. Sew 2 lengths of ribbon one to the top and the bottom of the sail, this is to tie the sail to the dowel. Quilt the sail if desired. Decorate as desired.

Prepping the Boat: Adhere the Ultra hold onto the sides of the boat.

I wanted my boat to have texture, so from here take strips of fabric and scrunch them as desired and then carefully iron them down to your boat.

When you have it covered then trim off the all the sides. For the top put a layer of Spackle to give it some dimension. Cut a hole for the dowel. Place the dowel in the hole and tie on the sail.

I did my boat in whites to go in my daughters room but how cute would this be if done in light pinks or blues for a nursery, oh the possibilities. Plus we still have the base of the house to decorate for another project. Win Win:)
