Hello everyone!  I wanted to share some creative cards today that I made with the new Deco Foil™ Transfer Gel. (coming soon!)  I used the gel in several different ways and in combination with some other great Therm O Web products, too.

5 Deco Foil Cards

hi foiled card

1) For my first card, I simply added a layer of gel trough a chevron stencil, let the gel dry until clear, and added a piece of the Emerald Green watercolor Deco Foil™ on top.  I ran it through my laminator to get the foil to stick to the gel.  I simply added a shaker pocket to the front with some sequins inside and popped it off the card with some 3D Foam Squares.

The Deco Foil™ Transfer Gel is an opaque white in the jar but once set it will turn clear and is dry to the touch.TooltipText

2) On this card, I simply applied the Deco Foil Transfer Gel trough a stencil right onto the card background. I then used the stencil to cut Deco Foil in different colors just big enough to cover the area I wanted.  I carefully placed on the foil pieces over the dried gel and ran them through the laminator to set the two together.

3) Next, I actually used the Deco Foil™ Transfer Gel on some of the iCraft® Mixed Media Lightweight sheets.   I worked on a craft mat because the gel does bleed through the sheets a bit.  I applied the gel through different stencils, and then hung up the Mixed Media sheet to dry.  Once dry, I added the foil to the top and ran the mixed media sheet through the laminator.

For this card, I used Champagne DecoFoil on the Mixed Media sheets and cut out the flowers shapes.  I layered the flower shapes on top of each other with 3D Foam Squares.

4) For this next card, I painted some water color circle of some different colors on the background, and covered with circles.  The circles are mixed media sheets covered with the Deco Foil Transfer Gel, Black Deco Foil, and then punched with a circle punch.  I stitched around the circles and added simple embellishments to each.

For my final card I used the same technique of Deco Foil Transfer Gel, stencil, Deco Foil in Summer Rainbow on New Mixed Media sheets for this hearts card.  I then cut out the hearts and added them to foam adhesive to back them and have them pop off the front of the card.
The possibilities are endless with this gel.  It adds so much texture and depth to your projects!  Have fun with it!
