Hi! It’s Jen from The Smitten Chicken. Can I just say how happy I am it’s NOT January? January seems to feel like it is 10 weeks long! Now that it’s February, bring on all the pink and red!
Valentine Heart Banner
Do you have 30 minutes? You could make this super fun and quick banner! And if you have been following along for a while, you know how much I love banners. I made this festive Noel banner last year for the Holidays. And I made this super fun Snow banner to help me get through the January blahs!
Grab your supplies and let’s do this! You will need:
2 different colors of felt (2 sheets for the banner, one for the letters)
HeatnBond UltraHold Fusible Adhesive

Crafter’s Edge Crossover II
Crafter’s Edge Flag Pennant
Trim
Clips
And 30 minutes, ready, set, go!
Crafter’s Edge Crossover II
Grab your Crafter’s Edge Crossover II and the Flag Pennant die. I used the smaller of the flags die for this project. Cut out 4 flags following the directions for your Crossover II. If you don’t have a Crossover, you can cut out flags with a pair of scissors.
Next, you need to print out the FREE Love pattern. Keep in mind that the letters are the mirror image. This is so they will face the correct direction after they are cut out. Trace the letters onto the paper side of the HeatnBond. Press the HeatnBond to the wrong side of the felt. Most felt doesn’t have a wrong or right side. I found this super cute polka dot felt. So I needed to press the HeatnBond to the wrong side so I could see the polka dots.
Then you need to cut out the letters on the traced line. Remove the paper backing. Using your Oliso iron, press the letters to the flag pennant.
Now you can clip the flag pennants to your trim and you are done!
Seriously! Wasn’t that the fastest project ever?!? You still have plenty of time before Valentine’s to finish this project!
Thanks for following along! If you want to see more of what I’m up to, stop by my blog, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest!
Chirp Out!
