Here’s how you can achieve this amazing foiled look seen here.

Spring Butterfly Cards with Deco Foil Designer Stencils Instructions:

To begin, trim a panel of Therm O Web Premium White Cardstock that is slightly smaller than your card base. Working on a non-stick craft mat, tape the panel down using Therm O Web’s awesome new Purple Tape. This tape is perfect for holding down stencils and dies, and also works great for masking off areas, like this border here. Ink the masked paper with light blue ink using an ink blending tool.

Tape down a stencil onto the inked cardstock panel. This is the fabulous new Starburst Designer Stencil.

Apply a thick, even coat of Deco Foil Transfer Gel over the stencil using a palette knife. Scrap the excess gel back into the bottle, and remove the stencil from the paper. Wash the stencil and palette knife immediately with warm soapy water. Set aside the gelled panel to dry. The gel turns from a milky consistency to completely clear when dry.

Turn on your laminator and let it heat up. Inside a piece of folded parchment paper, place a piece of scrap cardstock, followed by the gelled panel (with the gel side up). Cut a piece of Deco Foil Transfer Sheet that is slightly larger than the gelled cardstock, and place it on top (with the colored side up and the silver side down).

Place the folded end of the parchment into the laminator, and run this sandwich through the machine.

Allow the foil to cool for a few moments, and then peel back the transfer sheet to reveal your fabulous foiled background. Adhere the panel to a piece of black cardstock cut to the same size as the card base.

Add paper banner strips and a hand-stamped focal panel. Top with a stamped sentiment strip, and a few sequins adhered with Fabric Fuse Liquid Adhesive.

Repeat the process to create more cards, changing up the stencil and sentiment to suit. For this second card, I used the new Pinwheels Designer Stencil with the new Teal Deco Foil Transfer Sheets.

Enjoy!
