Hello! Shemaine here today with some ideas for a few New Year’s cards. When I think of the New Year approaching I think glitz and glam, sparkle and shimmer and shiny and NEW! What rings in the New Year better than a shaker card?
What I love most about iCraft Adhesives sheets is how easy they make putting shaker cards together. It’s so easy to apply the iCraft Adhesive sheet to cardstock and cut thinner dies. I’ve tried using tape runners and they always go over the edge and leave extra goop that looks terrible. The iCraft® Easy Cut Adhesive sheets peel right off the back making it easy to adhere to the card base.
I also love using them to adhere embossed cardstock to glitter paper. Since glitter paper is really coarse, it can be hard to get most adhesives to adhere well to their texture. Not the iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive sheets.
For the second card I used the Cozy Up Cardstock from our friends at Photoplay as a background for this Cheers 2016 card. I used iCraft 1/4 inch Easy Tear Tape to adhere the Cozy Up cardstock to my card base. I found a number font in the Cricut Design Space and cut out the 2016 with glitter cardstock. I die cut the Lawn Fawn Cheers Sentiment and popped it over the 16 with some 3D foam squares I cut down to fit.
I used the larger squares to adhere my Snowfall by Anna Griffin embossed cardstock over the Cozy Up Cardstock and smaller squares from the 3D White Foam Squares Combo pack to adhere my glitter die cut letters to the embossed card base.
I finished the card with some Recollections ribbon and the die cut cheers from Lawn Fawn.
Both of these cards are a festive way to ring in the New Year!
