Hi there, it’s Erin, and I’m going to be sharing with you some ways to incorporate origami paper folding into a quick and easy card!

This time of year, I’m all about the quick and easy, how about you?

I just received some lovely  Indie Bloom goodies from Basic Grey, so I dove right in!  And like to use non traditional colors from time to time for holiday cards:)

We are going to focus on the little origami triangles today!

Here are the supplies that I used:

You will need to cut 3 triangles, and all sides need to be 3″ long.

Each triangle will be folded the same way.  Start with one tip, and fold down the center, until the tip reaches the edge of the triangle.

Unfold that side, turn and repeat until all 3 sides have been folded in.  I have marked in pen where the creases should be.

Next, you will fold the triangles below the crease or black line, with the tip of the triangle leading, into the base of the crease.

Again, fold all 3 sides the same, on all 3 triangles.  You will then fold each smaller triangle right on top of the base triangle, clockwise.

The very last fold of the smaller triangle, will fit underneath the first small triangle.

After you have folded your 3 triangles, you have your trees!  I used zot dots on the backs of them to adhere them down!
For the rest of the card, I used Sticky Tape Runner for the papers, some foam squares behind the orange paper to pop it up, and some super tape to adhere down the star stick pin behind the tree.
Hope you enjoyed this little card and will try it on a project of your own!
Happy crafting!
Blessings,
Erin
