Hi, It’s Jen from The Smitten Chicken. I am super excited to share this quilt with you today! The first time I saw Amanda’s new Halloween line Scaredy Cat for Riley Blake, I fell in love with it! Those cats are so cute! I wrote up a new pattern for this fabric line. Then I had to add some fun cat appliqué pieces!
Scaredy Cat Log Cabin-ish Quilt
Do you want to make one too? Here are the supplies you will need!
Log Cabin-ish Pattern by me! (it is beginner friendly-yay!)
HeatnBond Ultrahold Fusible Adhesive

Scaredy Cat Fabric
Follow the pattern for assembly instructions. I used the new planner, Plan to Quilt for this project. It helped me stay organized! It is updated, so you can start and stop using it at any time. I love it!
Once you have the Log Cabinish quilt assembled, then you can add the cats!
Print out the FREE cat download.
Keep in mind that the cat is a mirror image! Trace the cat outline onto the paper side of the HeatnBond Ultrahold. Then press the HeatnBond to the wrong side of the fabric. Cut the cats out and then peel off the paper backing.
Place the cats where you would like on the quilt and press per manufactures’s instructions. I chose to put my cats on a diagonal, but you can place the cats where you want. You could even cut out more cats!
All that is left is to quilt this up! You don’t need to appliqué the cats since I used HeatnBond Ultra Hold.
And you are done! Thanks for following along with me today! If you would like to see more of what I’m up to, you can follow me on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
