Botanical Monstera Card

It’s Reverse Confetti week here on the Therm O Web blog, and today I am excited to share two projects with you featuring the new Botanical stamps and Mixed Messages sentiment stamps with our fabulous iCraft Deco Foil Flock transfer sheets. First up is a celebratory card.

To begin, create an A2 card base from white cardstock. Die-cut the large Circle Rays Duo shape from the white cardstock. Die-cut the big and small Plaid Lines dies from Emerald Green and Green Envy Flock transfer sheets.

Use Mixed Media Adhesive to apply small dots of glue to the back of the plaid die cuts, and adhere them to the card base, starting with the big plaid lines and ending with the small plaid lines.

Cover the back of the Circle Rays Duo die cut with iCraft Adhesive strips. Since the flock is raised and textured, you need a strong adhesive like our iCraft line to adhere to the flock. Add a folded strip of ribbon behind the die-cut so that the ends stick out about 1.5″. Adhere the die-cut to the bottom of the card.

Stamp the Botanical image and celebration sentiment in black ink onto white cardstock. Trim around the sentiment and the plant. Color the plant with markers. Adhere the sentiment to the bottom of the plant image. Place Foam Squares onto the backside of the die cuts. And then place the die cuts onto the center of the circle.

Botanical Flower Tags

The next project is a pair of gift tags made with the same stamp sets and the fabulous Fold Over Window die from Reverse Confetti.

To begin, die cut the tags from Green Envy Flock Transfer Sheet. Die cut two of the smaller circles from the Circle Rays Duo set from white cardstock.

Use XL Memory Tape Runner to adhere the circle die cuts to the inside of the tags. Trim off any excess from the sides with scissors, and then cut off any of the top of the die cut that would cover the hole of the tag. This part gets covered up, so it doesn’t matter how pretty it looks.

Stamp, color, and cut out two flower sprigs and two greenery stems. Apply small dots of Mixed Media Adhesive to the back side of the images, and adhere them to the inside of the tags so that they peek through the window openings.

*NOTE: only apply the glue to the bottom of the stems so that the top portions don’t get glued down. This way you can manipulate the stems through the window when you close the tag.

Apply 1/4″ strips of iCraft Adhesive to the inside frame of the tags. Peel off the liner, and fold the tags shut. Pull any greenery or floral stems through the opening, as needed.

Use a stamp positioning tool and place the hello sentiment at the very bottom edge of the tag. Cover the portion of the stamp that says “my friend” with Purple Tape, and then ink the hello portion in black ink. Remove the Purple Tape before closing the stamp cover.

Tie the top of the tags with ribbon, and enjoy!
