My kids start school next week! With that eminent start date comes a need to get organized. One thing I noticed was that I still had tons of old wallets from school years past. I don’t know about you, but I physically can’t bring myself to throw out photos. So I thought about a way to organize them all together in one place and came up with this 6×8 Simple Stories SN@P album.
Of course I need to spruce up my organizational binder with some Therm O Web Deco Foils™! On the cover I used Therm O Web Deco Foil™ Foam Adhesive punched into stars.
Remove one backing of the foam and adhere where you want the stars. Then remove the other protective sheet and lay the gold foil with the gold color facing up on top of the Deco Foil™ Adhesive foam.
Gently remove the foam and you have perfect puffy gold stars!
Use small Zots™ to adhere little die cut pieces.
I wanted more gold Deco Foil™ on the inside cover so I adhered Deco Foil™ Hot Melt adhesive to cardstock. You can see it on the left half of the cardstock here.
Since I adhered the Hot Melt Adhesive Sheets to cardstock (to make it easier to cut with my Cameo), I wanted to turn this adhesive into self adhesive sheet so I added pieces of iCraft® Easy-Cut Adhesive Sheets to the back.
I ran the Deco Foil™ Hot Melt Adhesive, layered with cardstock, layered with iCraft® Easy-Cut Sheets through my Cameo and cut the word school.
I then ran the die cut word through my laminator with Gold Deco Foil™.
and ended up with a beautifully foiled word…
that was still self adhesive!
Which makes it easy to place anywhere in your album!
I added more Foam Gold Deco Foil™ stars in the middle of the page protectors.
And backed the stacks of photos with Simple Stories 3×4 cards.
I also punched holes in a zipper pouch to store random memorabilia or larger photos.
What’s great about this method of storing my extra photos is that I can continue to add page protectors as we accumulate more photos.
And the touches of gold thanks to Therm O Web’s iCraft® Deco Foils™ adds a pretty effect that I will love displaying on a shelf!
