Confetti Canvas Directions

Prep canvas for decorating by painting with acrylic paints using teal at top and yellow at the bottom.  Overlap the colors to create an ombre effect.  Let dry.  While paint is drying, cut phrases and letters once out of the Deco Foil Foam Adhesive Transfer Sheets and then once out of cardstock using a die cutting machine of your choice.   NOTE: I used the Silhouette Cameo.

Next, using the new Deco Foil Rainbow Shattered Glass Transfer Sheets, cover phrases by peeling off the top protective cover from the foam adhesives and then laying face down on the back of the transfer sheet.  Run thru your manual die cutting machine to get a smooth even coverage of the foil.  Peel transfer sheet away from phrases, to reveal foiled phrase.

Once you have the foiling done on the phrases, then take your second cut out of the phrase from the cardstock.  Remove the protective backing from the foiled phrase and adhere the phrase to the cut cardstock phrase.

Similarly, you will repeat the process above with the die cut letters, using the new Deco Foil Flock in place of the foil.  The process is the same.  Lay letter face down on flock sheet, run thru manual die cutting machine to transfer the flock.  Then carefully peel the flock transfer sheet up.  Then apply the second die cut of the letter to the flocked letter by using the iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive.

Place your letters close together, this will maximize the flock transfer sheet usage!

Next, lay phrases and words out to get an idea of how you want to place them on the canvas. Snap a picture with your cell phone, so that when you remove them,  you will still have something to look at in case you forget!

This next step explains why you die cut two of everything.  You will attach the letters and phrases to the painted canvas by using the iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive. Use a ruler or t-square to help you line things up straight.

Creating the confetti

Once you have attached the letters, create confetti by using the left over flock transfer pieces and just punching out shapes.  I had a confetti punch on had this worked perfectly with.  Once you think you have enough punched out then start adhering to your canvas.  You can use sequins in addition to just the flock confetti.

I love how the leftover flock circles are multicolored because of the negative spaces from the previous transfer!  And a great way to use up scraps!  We designers LOVE the new products and we are sure you will too!!
