Oh my, the days are flying by like a witch on a broom and Halloween will be here before we know it.  There are always a few special ghosts and goblins that I like to create special cards for each Halloween, so my post today is one of those cards.  Katrina here today, along with a few jack o lanterns and pumpkins!

To be honest, I sometimes have trouble coming up with ideas for cards.  So, I decided to go at this card in sections.  I choose to have two main sections that I would decorate and worked the card layout from there.

Start by using Super Tape™ 1/2 to adhere the pattern paper layers together.  This works great for a bigger piece of paper, because you can place tape on the ends to adhere paper to the card base. Attach strip of SuperTape™ that is the width of card on the back of pattern paper.  Line up the end of card base with end of pattern paper, then stick down.  By having the strip of adhesive on the opposite end still covered, you will be able to make sure that your paper is lined up perfectly with your card base.  Remove backing and attach the other end.

NOTE-I did this with the black background paper and the striped paper both.

Add small accent strip of pattern paper using the Sticky Dot Mini Runner.

Add die cuts, stickers, etc with 3D Foam Squares.  Cut 3D Foam Squares as needed to fit onto your stickers and die cuts.

And yes, I had to make the google eye stickers pop with the 3D Foam Squares!   I also used (but failed to take a picture) Zots™ in Medium to attach the ribbon strip and bow.  I always tie my bows separate, because I have not mastered the perfectly tied bow with the ribbon attached to the card!

Happy Halloween to you and yours!  And if you don’t celebrate Halloween, at least have some fun dressing up in something.  If you want to see the dogs in their costumes from last year, I have a layout up over on my personal blog and you can find it HERE.  I will have a few step out photos and tips for the layout design also in the post.
