Hello crafty friends. Today I’m sharing my heart wreath with flocked and foiled hearts as well as a gorgeous flocked flower. When put together, they make this fresh and fun Valentine décor piece.

Flock and Foil Heart Handmade Wreath

Wreath Supplies:

Deco Foil Transfer Sheet – Enchanted Rose and Red

Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets – Pink Carnation and Green

iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive

Eileen Hull Easy-Cut Adhesive Sheets

Other Supplies: Cardstock, die-cutting system and dies, craft wire, hot glue and glue gun, wreath and ribbon

Let’s Get Started on this Heart Wreath

STEP ONE:

I started with a simple wreath from my local dollar store, but any wreath form, painted white, would work for this project. Wrap your wreath in red ribbon and create a bow to attach at the bottom.

Hint: Spray paint your wreath for the fastest coverage.

STEP TWO:

Using a flower die from your stash, die-cut one to two flowers and leaves from Flock Transfer Sheets. Use a combination of Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive and hot glue to assemble your flowers. The hold glue holds the pieces in place while the Ultra Bond dries. Hot glue alone will not hold the flock surface over time.

Hint: The stiff paper backing on the Flock Transfer Sheets is the perfect medium to shape your flowers. I folded mine around a paintbrush.

STEP THREE:

Add a piece of Easy Cut Adhesive to any scrap piece of cardstock and burnish well. Peel back the release paper to leave the adhesive on the cardstock. Place a piece of Foil Transfer Sheet over the adhesive surface and again burnish well. Peel away the plastic backing and leave a beautifully foiled piece of cardstock.

Hint: If you do not have any East Cut Adhesive Sheets, print a solid block of ink from your laser printer (only the toner type printer will work) and foil using your foiling or laminating machine.

STEP FOUR:

Die-cut hearts from both foiled and flocked surfaces and sandwich a piece of craft wire in between with Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive.

Hint: Use Easy Cut Adhesive Sheets before you die-cut your hearts for super easy adhesion.

STEP FIVE:

Add your flowers, leaves, and hearts to your wreath using a combination of Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive and hot glue.

Hint: I die-cut some candy hearts in white and added them to my “bouquet” for contrast.

I hope you enjoyed this fun Valentine project and that it will inspire you to use your Flock and Foil in new and unusual ways!
