Deco Foil a 4th of July T-Shirt

We saw some fun ideas floating around the internet using fabrics and thought why don’t we make a shirt with our new iCraft® Deco Foil™ to celebrate the 4th of July! Although who would not want to wear this all year round to show you love of our country? Let us show you how easy it is to create your own 4th of July T-Shirt!

Supplies Need:

iCraft® Deco Foil™ Hot Melt Adhesive Sheets
iCraft® Deco Foil™ Transfer SheetsRed and Ocean Blue
T-Shirt
Iron
Cricut (although not necessary as you can hand cut as well!)

4th-of-July-Step-1

First cut a piece of the Deco Foil™ Hot Melt Adhesive and adhesive side down onto the wrong side of the Deco Foil. The wrong side is a matte silver grey color. Press firmly for 30 seconds to ensure a good even bond.

Once you’ve adhered the Deco Foil™ Hot Melt Adhesive Sheets to the Deco Foil™ you’re ready to cut your design. You can use a die cut machine such as a Cricut Explore, a manual die cut, punches or even cut out by hand.

4th-of-July-Step-2
Next lay the Deco Foil pieces you’ve cut out onto your shirt in the place you would like them.

4th-of-July-Step-3
Lay a piece of parchment or pressing paper over the Deco Foil shapes and press firmly for 30 seconds. Move the iron around in a slow, firm motion over the area.

Allow time for the Deco Foil™ to completely cool and then remove the clear liner from the top of the Deco Foil™ to reveal you finished American flag Deco Foil Design! You can create this on towels, placements, table cloths…quilts and more! iCraft® Deco Foil™ is washable. We do recommend washing items inside out on the gentle cycle and hung to dry for best results.

Happy 4th of July
